"Kids on the Fly," is a well designed playground for kids 12 years old and under. There's a plane with 3 levels, a control tower with monitors and toy planes flying overhead, shipping crates to crawl through, and a helicopter with whirling mirrors and wheels. Kids ranging in age from toddlers to pre-teen will find plenty of room to burn off energy as they climb the stairs to the pretend airport control tower and the top of the plane, build rooms and dresses with the drapes in one display, suprise themselves in the mirrors as they crawl through the shipping crate tunnel and turn the various wheels and pedals in the helicopter. Moms and dads might even learn something new, like the international symbol for "Lost and Found" (a graphic showing a question mark, an umbrella and a glove). The area, about 30 feet by 30 feet square, is clean and surrounded by a half wall with only one entry and a latched gate. There is also a hand cleanser dispenser just at the gate. While it is not possible to see the entire area from any one spot, parents can see into all the areas as they follow the kids around. Parents and grandparents will find plenty of benches inside and outside the playground.
